Brene Brown in her 2010 TED talk “the power of vulnerability” stated: “We are hardwired to connect with others, it’s what gives purpose and meaning to our lives.”

Slow down – say hello to your fellow employees

Be considerate – call a colleague to see if they need help. We do not do this in sales enough – that small offer of help could set off a chain reaction.

Be vocal in your praise – the right recognition can do wonders

This should trickle down from the top. Our Managing Director, Spencer Davies, makes a point of being on the weekly call we have to talk about social aspects of life with no work related talk allowed. This nurtures a more human relationship where employees feel part of the company and not just a number.
